See videos around a location
Seeing videos around me is cool but I want to see videos around the location I choose. Say I plan on visiting downtown San Diego but I'm in the office in Del Mar. I would love to see what is going on right now

This will be a power feature on the phone/ipad. We’re introducing “superpowers” with the next release and the first two are Eagle Eye and Teleport. Teleport will allow a user to both travel to a new location to see videos there AND record videos at that location. Beam me up, Scotty!

Add a feature for pinning produced/edited videos to a spot on the map
Assuming local businesses/orgs want to produce promotional videos and then pin them to the map. Today I created a test slideshow/video using Animoto, saved it to my iPhone camera roll, and then tried to upload to Vidcinity. Because it had no GPS data attached, I couldn't do it. Wondering what the plans are to support produced video?

Videos shot in Vidcinity should be available in your Photos App's Camera Roll
You can add videos to Vidcinity from your video library, but not vice versa. It is cumbersome to shoot video in the camera app, then launch Vicinity to upload.

Recentness filter
I don't want to see all these old videos. Can we get a filter added so I can see just the last day/week/month?

Good idea. We’ll tie in Gravatar for a near term solution and Facebook later on once we have a Facebook integration.

let user choose Thumbnail
It'd be nice to be able to choose a different thumbnail. Can be done either in the mobile app or at http://vidcinity.com/my_videos by choosing Edit

Vidcinity friends?
Perhaps just tie into Facebook friends? The ability to view friends' videos.

we’re still trying to figure out how this works in vidcinity land. friends, followers…we don’t want to make the app too complex or like anything that’s already out there. we would likely leverage twitter or facebook to help you find your friends…but then what? not sure we really want “yet another feed.” we may do optional email digests or something like that. stay tuned, but don’t look for this in the next couple releases.

Invite FB friends to Vidcinity
To generate interest, is it possible to create an FB invite to Vidcinity where you can select individual FB friends?
